It's official now. After the leak by Microsoft, the new first-person shooter Necromunda: Hired Gun was finally announced. The game, created by developer Streum On Studio, is set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. A trailer released on March 18, 2021 shows us some gameplay.
What is Necromunda: Hired Gun about?
In Necromunda: Hired Gun you take on the role of a ruthless mercenary who, driven by greed, takes on dangerous jobs. Depending on the mission, you will face many different types of enemies, including criminals and mutants. In addition to an arsenal of different weapons, you are accompanied by a loyal cyber-combat dog and a grappling hook on your bloody journey through the dark metropolis of Warhammer 40,000.
But it's not just the setting that's interesting. The gameplay shown in the trailer looks promising. Weapons can be customized and your own skills can be expanded according to your preferences. With the right skill, players can jump very far or run along walls. Your mastiff can track and kill enemies for you.
When will Necromunda: Hired Gun be released?
The time is June 1st of this year. That's when Necromunda: Hired Gun is supposed to be released for PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
