Netflix has already acquired Night School Studio, a video game developer, in 2021. The studio had previously developed lesser-known games and wasn't founded until 2014. Meanwhile, Netflix has acquired two more studios: Next Games and Boss Fight Entertainment.
It seems, however, that Netflix is now fully committed to the video game industry. With a newly founded studio in Helsinki, they are now ready to go. According to Netflix, they want to create "engaging, original games".
In addition to their own developments, Netflix is also expanding their collaboration with large and well-known studios. There are currently rumors of an exclusive Assassin's Creed game in collaboration with Ubisoft.
