ARTIFICIAL - Half-Life and Portal collide

The Birth of a New Gaming Classic

Imagine being able to step into the shoes of Gordon Freeman or face the physical challenges of GLaDOS. And all of this in one game? Welcome to ARTIFICIAL, a new physics-based puzzle game that, according to solo developer Ondrej Angelovic, was directly "inspired by the Portal and Half-Life series."

A World Full of Challenges

As an unnamed survivor, you find yourself trapped in Asteroid 2031 XT, a massive underground colony that was supposed to be decommissioned. Just like Aperture, now all lasers, turrets, and various computer and security systems are trying to kill you.

Interaction is the key

You can interact with almost everything and survival in ARTIFICIAL means using your head to come up with creative and original solutions to the puzzles. Big industrial fan in the way? No problem! Stick some broom handles and concrete blocks into the mechanism until it burns out. Can't reach a ladder or get over an edge? Bring something to stand on and boost yourself up.

Detailed physics simulation

Ondrej Angelovic has created a convincing and detailed physics simulation that fits perfectly with the dark, crowded, and claustrophobic world of ARTIFICIAL. It's like Aperture Labs with dimmed lights and full of junk from City 17.

Play it now!

Can't wait to face the challenges of ARTIFICIAL? While the full version of the game won't be released until February 2024, you can already try it out for free thanks to the new demo for the Steam Next Fest.
