Hello adventurers! Pack your warmest clothes and get ready, because the Eternal Frost Update for New World is bringing icy times. Starting from December 12th, you can look forward to new expeditions, seasonal narratives, and fresh artifacts. But beware! To conquer these frosty challenges, you'll need the Rise of the Angry Earth update.
The story behind Eternal Frost
A Knight of the Round Table is in search of power and threatens to engulf Aeternum in eternal winter. Gather your team of Silver Crows and face the challenges to save humanity from this fate. Daichi, a grumpy fire mage, will assist you. But be warned: time is running out!
Expedition to Glacial Tarn and New Artifacts
With the Eternal Frost Update, the new level 65 expedition Glacial Tarn is introduced. Here, you will explore an icy complex in the Great Cleave and confront the Varangian Knight Ser Loth. Use the primal magic of the Empyrean Flame to overcome enemies and obstacles with ice magic, and stop Ser Loth before he takes over all of Aeternum.
But that's not all! The update also brings eight new artifacts to the game. Each of these powerful New World artifacts has its own quests and can completely change your playstyle. Stun your enemies with the Boltcaster Bow or freeze them with the Frozen Gauntlet - the possibilities are endless!
Cross-World Expeditions and Improved Group Finder
Attention, this feature will be unlocked later in the season: With Cross-World Expeditions, you can team up with players from any world within a region and tackle the adventures of Aeternum together. The new group finder makes it especially easy to find a balanced group.
Seasonal Events: Winter Convergence Festival and Legacy of Crassus
In addition to all the updates, seasonal events are also a must. During the Winter Convergence Festival, you can visit winter villages, meet the Winter Wanderer, and complete his holiday quests. With Winter Tokens, you can even secure limited-time rewards such as festive skins, emotes, and much more.
Furthermore, the power of Rome threatens Aeternum in the event Legacy of Crassus. Face the monstrous captains of General Crassus and drive away the shadow of Roman tyranny. Each victory will earn you new event-specific daily rewards.
Public Test Realm (PTR)
Before the update goes live, you can take a look at the new features in the PTR. But be careful: these are not final versions! There may still be bugs, crashes, or other issues. Your feedback is particularly valuable here to identify and fix any serious problems before they reach the live servers. The PTR will officially open on November 9th.
