The game New World presents you with a formidable challenge: The giant Sandworm that awaits brave adventurers in the Shah Neshen arena. To defeat this monstrous opponent, you must proceed with skill and teamwork, as you will have no chance alone. However, if you manage to defeat the Devourer, great rewards await you!
Rewards for Brave Warriors
After a successful battle against the Sandworm, you can obtain exclusive Sandworm hideouts and proudly display your achievements. There are different types of rewards - daily, weekly, and basic - that will be available to you after your victory.
Weekly Rewards
The main Sandworm loot reward chest can be earned once per week. It contains:
- 1 named Sandworm item (625 Gear Score fixed perk weapon, jewelry, or LMH armor piece. Guaranteed expertise bonus)
- 3 Gypsum orbs
- Heartrune of the Devourer level 1
- 8000 Umbral shards
- 200 Sandworm materials
Daily Rewards
The small Sandworm loot reward chest can be earned once per day and contains:
- 1 timeless fragment
- 2000 Umbral shards
- 1 Gypsum orb
- 200 Sandworm materials
Base Rewards for Each Victory
After every successful battle against the Sandworm, you will receive the following rewards:
- 1 rolled Sandworm item (scaled by expertise + 10 Gear Score)
- 500 Umbral shards
Sandworm Materials: Crafting Weapons and Accessories
With the collected Sandworm materials, you can craft named weapons or accessories from the Sandworm list. You will need 1000 Sandworm materials for this.
The Sound of the Sandworm: Atmosphere and Tension
Sound designer Kyle Bailey has masterfully crafted the sound of the Sandworm to underscore the atmosphere in the battle against the beast. He used ancient chants, acid noises, and the whirring of worm pellets to provide you with auditory cues and an intense gaming experience during the fight.
