New World Season 1: Fellowship & Fire - What to Expect?

It's time for some fresh air in the world of Aeternum: New World is launching its first season titled "Fellowship & Fire". We have gathered all the important information about the new features, the season pass, and upcoming updates for you. So grab your coffee or tea, sit back, and find out what to expect in New World Season 1.

Season Pass and Rewards

Let's start with the Season Pass. Like many other games, the New World Season Pass is divided into two tracks: the free track for all players and the Premium Reward Track for additional rewards. Throughout the season, you can collect various titles, equipment pieces, and cleaning skins to customize your character. This includes the "Season Journey," a series of tasks and challenges around Aeternum that earns you Season XP upon completion. The "Activity Card" supports you in collecting additional Season XP with mini-goals.

Combat Balance Updates

Balance is key in every game, and New World is no exception. In Season 1, some important issues were addressed, such as the PvE viability of magic and ranged weapons, as well as the balance between weapons in PvP. Additionally, the balance between different equipment has been improved to create more diversity and individual customization options for players.

More Diversity in Equipment

One goal of the developers is to encourage more players to try out different armor types and weapon combinations. Therefore, the damage mitigation formula and the influence of Rend and Fortify have been adjusted. This is intended to ensure that players with less common loadouts and personal preferences can have a good experience in the various game modes.

New Seasonal Story: The Silver Crows

Attention, fans of exciting stories: In Season 1, the Silver Crows await you, an elite unit of mercenaries led by Grace O'Malley. You support Skye, the Spear Daughter, in her fight against a powerful warlock and the Varangian Horde. Don't miss out on this adventure!

Revised Quests and New Expedition

The main stories around Brightwood and Weaver's Fen have been revised. Look forward to fresh wind, more variety in quests, and some surprises in these areas! In addition, the level 40 weapon and armor quests have been adjusted to require less travel time and fights while still experiencing new rewards and stories.

Season 1 also brings a new expedition to the game: the Empyrean Forge. This level 60+ expedition takes you to the Great Cleave, where you are on the trail of Sir Loth's leaders to stop the flow of elemental magic deep in an ancient forge.

Conclusion

Are you already itching to dive into Season 1 of New World? With the Season Pass, revised quests, a new expedition, and plenty of balance updates, there are plenty of reasons to dive back into the world of Aeternum. So have fun and let us know how you like the new season!
