Invitation to the Turkey Hunt in New World
Greetings, adventurers! Grab your weapons and get ready for a feast of a different kind in New World. From November 15th to 28th, the behemoth Turkulon returns, and it's up to you to hunt down the Feathered Avenger of Death and defeat his "winged army". A juicy Grand Gobbler Warhammer awaits as a reward for the bravest among you. But don't worry, even if you don't take down the biggest bird, there are still plenty of other event-specific items to earn.
The developers have taken the feedback from last year to heart and loot will drop more frequently this time around. For all you meat lovers out there, there's even a giant turkey leg as a trophy. So grab your weapons and get hunting!
The Legend of Turkulon and the Grand Gobbler
Everywhere on Aeternum, the story of the dreaded Turkulon, an oversized turkey that terrorizes the island's inhabitants, is circulating. While some consider the legend to be a children's fairy tale, there are also those who firmly believe in Turkulon's existence. One of them is Trateles, who lost his brother to the monster and has been seeking revenge ever since.
Under the nickname Turkules, Trateles travels all over Aeternum to hunt down the beast. With the Grand Gobbler, a powerful war hammer, he aims to finally defeat the feathered avenger of death. And you can help him in this quest!
The Rewards of Turkey Hunting
In addition to the coveted Grand Gobbler war hammer, there are many other rewards to be obtained. Whether you hunt regular turkeys or the gigantic Turkulon, every successful kill will be rewarded. Particularly worthwhile is Turkulon's Claw Skinning Knife, which allows you to obtain additional loot.
But be careful: Some items have daily limits and are only available in limited quantities. So be quick and secure your rewards!
Regular Turkeys and Their Loot
The regular turkeys are scattered across the entire map and promise a variety of rewards. From coins to diamond plaster to the coveted Turkulon's Claw Skinning Knife, everything is included.
Additional Rewards through Turkulon's Claw Skinning Knife
If you possess Turkulon's Claw Skinning Knife, you can obtain additional loot when skinning regular turkeys. This includes, among other things, Infused Turkey Coating and Protection Potion, as well as the Turkey Luck Potion, which increases your chance of further drops.
The Loot of the Giant Turkey Turkulon
Of course, Turkulon himself is the main prize of the hunt. He can be found at specific locations in Everfall, Brightwood, Mourningdale, Restless Shore, Windsward, Monarch's Bluffs, and Cutlass Keys. In addition to the Grand Gobbler war hammer skin, there is also a massive turkey leg, the Feat-O-Plenty Food Trophy, and even a pet named Turkuless to be won.
