New World - Update 2.0.5: Expansion and Corrections

Introduction

Greetings, adventurers!

The 2.0.5 update for New World will begin at 11:00 AM PT (6:00 AM UTC) on September 12th and is expected to last approximately 1 hour. It includes an expansion of the "Sulfur Siege" event as well as fixes for the Transmog system.

Siege of Sulfur Extended

The "Siege of Sulfur" event has been extended until October 3rd.

• The developers acknowledge that the start of the event did not go as smoothly as expected and are committed to improving the overall experience through additional fixes. Given the difficulties that have affected progress and enjoyment, they have decided to extend the event. The developers hope that this extension will provide players with a better opportunity to fully experience the event and its unique rewards in the coming weeks.
• An issue preventing progress in the "Brimstone Sands Siege of Sulfur" event has been resolved.

Transmog Fixes

• A transmog issue has been fixed that was preventing players from capturing item appearances until they logged out and back in.
• A transmog issue has been fixed that was causing players to lose item colors on equipment when an error occurred during application.
• An issue causing leaderboards to display in the wrong section of the transmog window has been resolved.
• An issue with the skin of the "Desecrated Leather Gloves" has been fixed.

3v3 Arenas

• The "Brimstone Sands Gladiatorial Pit" will remain active in the 3v3 arenas map rotation for another 3 weeks.

General

• Players with temporary bans will no longer see a generic login error when starting the game. They will now see an error pop-up describing their ban.
• An issue causing the wrong icon to be displayed for "Gear Set Storage" in the menu has been fixed.
• An issue causing certain expedited and war crafting patterns to roll gem slots incorrectly has been resolved.
• An issue causing player titles to display on nameplates during "Outpost Rush" has been fixed.
