The Nintendo Switch has achieved its goal and surpassed the PlayStation 4. With 122.55 million units sold as of December 31, 2022, the Switch is now the third best-selling console of all time, only surpassed by the PlayStation 2 with over 155 million units sold and the DS with 154.02 million units sold.
Massive Sales Figures in Fourth Quarter
The fourth quarter was a real blockbuster for the Switch. 8.22 million Switch hardware and 76.71 million Switch software were sold during the three months up to December 31, 2022.
The 10 best-selling first-party Switch titles Mario Kart 8 Deluxe leads the list with 52 million units sold, followed by Animal Crossing: New Horizons with 41.59 million and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with 30.44 million.
Over 994.30 Million Switch Games Have Been Sold Worldwide
In total, more than 994.30 million Switch games have been sold worldwide, proving that interest in the console is still going strong.
