Introduction

Hello, War Mages! A new patch for Orcs Must Die! 3 is here and brings some exciting changes with it. This update focuses on frequent player feedback and improves, among other things, the balancing of traps and the difficulty level in various game modes. But that's not all - keep reading to learn all the details!

Trap Balancing & Difficulty Adjustments

The developers have responded to player concerns about trap damage compared to player damage and adjusted the balance accordingly. This should allow you to effectively bring more traps into battle.

In addition, some scenarios in Rift Lord difficulty and on certain endless maps were found to be too difficult. These battles have now been made fairer, so hopefully you can achieve better scores and skull rewards.

Endless Maps & Bug Fixes

The latest patch adds three new endless maps: Abandoned Passage, Order Enclave, and Slag Field. Additionally, some rare but annoying crashes have been fixed that were affecting the gameplay experience.

Patch Notes Overview

  • Added three endless maps (Abandoned Passage, Order Enclave, and Slag Field)
  • Fixed several commonly occurring crashes
  • Fixed issue where killstreak display wasn't progressing after the first series
  • Fire Fiends are no longer completely immune to fire damage
  • Increased timed GO pauses in Rift Lord
  • Increased all timed GO pauses in Endless mode

The following trap balance changes will reset leaderboards:

  1. Reduced cost of these traps (Dart Spitter, Decoy, Grinder, Rip Saw, Spike Wall, Swinging Mace, Ceiling Laser, Boom Barrel Dispenser, Deep Freeze, Floor Scorcher, Saw Blade Launcher, Tar, Acid Geyser, Arcane Dragon, Barricade, Double Barricades after upgrade, Wall Charger)
  2. Increased damage of these traps (Wall Arrows, Dart Spitter, Haymaker, Ceiling Pounder, Rip Saw, Wall Blades, Arcane Dragon)
  3. Increased Brimstone base charges
  4. Decoy now has more hit points
  5. Reduced cooldown of Spike Trap
  6. Increased base health of Grinder
  7. Increased Shock Zapper base charges
  8. Reduced cooldown of Acid Geyser
  9. Slightly increased cost of Guardian Archer
  10. Increased base damage and health of Guardian Archer
  11. Reduced cooldown of Wall Charger
  12. Increased damage of environmental traps Lava Cauldron and Falling Boom Barrel
