Overwatch 2 - Art Book sneek peak

Overwatch was released as early as 2016 and has since not only been able to assert itself, but also build up a loyal fan base. Today, the action game is considered the most popular multiplayer hero shooter, in which Activision Blizzard was able to use its entire long-standing experience. At the end of December 2021, the Overwatch Art Book Vol. 2 was finally released.

But even though the book convinced with 368 pages not only by the numerous detailed illustrations and concept drawings, but also by comments from the developers as well as the story behind the heroes and weapons, some fans were still outraged. What had happened?

This lack of new information is all the more annoying because fans have been waiting for the second part for some time now and have only been consoled with 2023 as a distant release date. The game itself, on the other hand, suffers from this early announcement. So many potential newcomers prefer to wait for the sequel. Long-time players are sometimes bored and fear that the developer may largely discontinue work on the first part in the form of new content until the second part is released.

The reasons for Activision Blizzard's reticence could be a number of things. On the one hand, the company is currently under fire in the public eye for discrimination cases. Maybe the developer wants to wait here until the situation calms down before introducing a new AAA title. In addition, Overwatch 2 is still in an early development phase. After bad experiences in the past, think of the Diablo Immortal debacle, Activision Blizzard probably doesn't want to take any risks here. Instead, they
