In an abandoned laboratory full of decommissioned machines, we have found an unexpected new use for zombie spores. With a little tinkering, we can get the old equipment up and running again and use it to breed a mechanical alternative to duplicant labor. This means fewer duplicants in hazardous work environments and more safety for our colony!
Food Dehydrator and Rehydrator
The update also brings new buildings for food preservation. With the new dehydrator building, we can remove moisture from our food. While dried food may not be a culinary delight, it does not spoil and does not need to be refrigerated - ideal for long space journeys! And when it's time to eat, we simply send the dried food through the new rehydrator to make it edible again.
Comfort for Creatures
The moods of our creatures have also been revised and expanded. There is now a new state of "misery" for particularly depressed creatures, which affects their metabolic rate and prevents egg laying. To increase the happiness of our creatures, there are new buildings such as the creature condo and the water fort.
