The Big Update for Phasmophobia is Here
Welcome back to the spooky world of Phasmophobia. We have some exciting news for you! Your favorite game has received a comprehensive update that brings all sorts of new features and improvements. From a new progression system and equipment tiers to revamped gameplay mechanics - nothing has been left untouched!
New Progression System and Equipment Tiers
A brand new leveling system has been added, bringing with it new progression rates, unlocks, and even a prestige system. But beware! Cheaters who manipulate their levels will not be tolerated and will be immediately banned.
Equipment Update and D.O.T.S System Overhaul
Each piece of equipment now has 3 tiers. To upgrade a piece, you must first reach the required level. Then, go to the shop, click on the UI field of an item, and then click on Upgrade! Additionally, the D.O.T.S system has been completely overhauled. Instead of a copy of the ghost appearing and being revealed through DOTS, there are no more duplicated DOTS ghosts or DOTS triggers during events or other interactions.
New Training Experience
Not only seasoned players will benefit, but newcomers will also be delighted. The training has been replaced with a brand new experience. This takes place in a specially designed warehouse and offers various rooms to show the player how to handle each piece of evidence equipment, as well as tips and tricks for playing Phasmophobia in a controlled environment.
Player Blocking and Reward Adjustments
You now have the ability to block other players. Once blocked, a player will remain permanently muted until you unblock them. Additionally, the rewards have been adjusted to feel more rewarding and encourage goal completion.
In-Game Voice System Upgrade
Lastly, the in-game voice system has been replaced with Photon Voice - for even more realism while playing!
