The Latest Updates on Phasmophobia
Greetings, dear ghost hunters! We have some news for you that you shouldn't miss. The developers of Phasmophobia would like to express their gratitude for your incredible support, especially regarding the upcoming release of the game for consoles. But as we all know, every new adventure comes with its own challenges.
Since the team is still adjusting to remote work (following an unfortunate fire accident and the relocation to a new office), the development timeline has been more heavily impacted than originally anticipated. On top of that, preparations for the launch on PlayStation VR2 are underway, requiring careful testing and optimization of the game on all maps to ensure a smooth gaming experience.
Maple Lodge Campsite: A New Layout and More
In the course of the optimizations, the Maple Lodge Campsite had to be completely redesigned. This location was the first new setting in the game when the team expanded. However, the layout was created quite quickly and therefore had some performance issues. Now, CJ and the new artist Zec have created a completely new layout that provides better performance and more hiding spots - perfect for a more intense Phasmophobia experience!
Halloween Event: Brew Your Own Potion!
This year, the Halloween event has something special: players are invited to brew their own potion at the revamped Maple Lodge Campsite! Participants will receive a new ID card badge and a trophy for their collection. To brew the potion, players must find recipe cards hidden in various locations.
The event is expected to start on October 26th. Both the campsite and the lobby will be decorated with spooky Halloween decorations - so get ready for a hauntingly beautiful Phasmophobia experience!
Console Release Delay
Despite all efforts and the hope of being able to release the game along with the Halloween event, the team needs more time. The complexity of the current challenges has led to a delay in the release date. But don't worry, the developers are working hard to minimize the impact of this delay and assure that Phasmophobia on consoles will be worth the wait!
That's it for now! We hope these news have excited you as much as they have excited us. If you don't have a Steam Key for Phasmophobia yet, don't hesitate and dive into this thrilling paranormal adventure.
