Plants vs. Zombies™: Battle for Neighborville - merciless battle between plants and zombies

The first Plants vs. Zombies game (also known as "Plants vs. Zombies") came out in 2009. The goal of the game back then was to defend your own house, which was located on the left side of the screen, against a horde of staggering zombies. To do this, you had a row of helpful plants at your disposal, such as walnuts, which served as a barrier, or plants that could freeze the zombies with their pea projectiles. In order to plant the plants, you needed solar energy, which was either generated by sunflowers or fell from the sky.

Gardening with defensive plants is so last year

Plants vs. Zombies™: Battle for Neighborville was released in 2019 for PC, Playstation 4, and XboxOne. The third-person shooter is not the first product from the makers of the Plants vs. Zombie series, but probably their biggest: 20 characters, 3 new regions to explore, and 6 different game modes to play with friends. The basic principle remains the same as in the other Plants vs. Zombie games: free the area from the zombie hordes.

The grass is always greener on the other side…
…or is it? In Plants vs. Zombies™: Battle for Neighborville you can also – like in the two Plants vs. Zombie Garden Warfare games – decide whether you want to be a plant or a zombie. For this you have 11 different zombie characters at your disposal, which belong to one of the three categories "support", "attack" or "defense" and each have their own abilities. "Miss Elektra", for example, can really bring some tension to the fight with her electric dance steps. But the plants have also changed a lot. Here you only have 10 different characters at your disposal, but for example you can spit fire with the dragon mouth and really heat up your opponents.

Updates and a Big Birthday Party
Due to the 10th birthday of the Plants vs. Zombies series, there are various events in the game Plants vs. Zombies™: Battle for Neighborville that you can participate in. In the so-called "Dizzy Park" region, for example, you can find cakes, party utensils and other birthday decorations everywhere. In addition, there are great items to be had on the game's price cards if you meet certain requirements or have played through the card. There is never a dull moment. So if you're into shooters, tower defense, zombies, and plants, like to do a quest or two to get great loot, then Plants vs. Zombies™: Battle for Neighborville is just right for you.

Well-Known Games by PopCap and EA
Developer PopCap is best known for the Plants vs Zombie series. Did you know that the puzzle game "Bejeweled" also comes from the creative minds at PopCap? Publisher EA is certainly already a familiar term to you. Games released under their flag include FIFA, APEX Legends, The Sims, or Anthem - just to name a few.
