PlayStation 5: These are the game breakers for the release

Disappointingly for many video game fans is the release of the PlayStation 5. Due to delivery bottlenecks, the number of units was limited from the outset, so that only a few pre-orderers were able to enjoy the next-gen console on the starter date.

However, those who are lucky enough to hold the PS5 in time can look forward to perhaps the strongest line-up in the history of console releases. The following top games are ready for release on time:

Demon's Souls

The original was released in 2009 and primarily proved to be a big flop. Too high a difficulty level, distorted release dates and a Sony exclusivity led to disappointing sales figures. On the Internet, however, the role-playing game by From Software had a growing fan base.

With the releases of Dark Souls and Bloodborne, many players were finally willing to try out the mentally and physically demanding predecessor.

If you haven't done this yet or want to experience the game again in a much more attractive setting, the PS5 remake of Demon's Souls gives you the chance to do so. Gameplay-wise, nothing changes at first. The remake remains just as cumbersome and difficult and thus retains all the features that made the original a secret tip.

Demon's Souls is a board in terms of audio-visuals, however, and brings the young PS5 to the limit right from the start.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure

The spin-off of the popular Little-Big-Planet series, which has always been sort of Sony's answer to the Mario games, is also coming out in November for the PS5 and, additionally, for the PS4. Players slip back into the role of the main character Sackboy, who this time, however, makes a detour into the 3D world. The 3D platformer, reminiscent of Super Mario 3D World, leads PS5 owners through numerous colorful worlds, features lovingly designed and varied levels, and makes full use of the features of the new console generation.

The difficulty level makes it clear that Sackboy: A Big Adventure is primarily aimed at a younger target group. In addition, the numerous creative elements that have made Little Big Planet a perennial favorite since the PS3 era are missing. Nevertheless, the new 3D platformer works excellently as a time-waster for the PlayStation 5 and, in addition, is equipped with an appealing multiplayer mode for up to four players.

Assassin's Creed: Valhalla

Also available on the old and new console generation is Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. The latest installment of the historical action-adventure, whose previous locations even die-hard fans would probably have a hard time listing in chronological order, takes players to England in the 9th century. The Viking leader Eivor serves as the protagonist. His goal is to conquer new territory in the Anglo-Saxons, which is achieved in true assassin style primarily through treacherous murder.

Familiar Ubisoft gameplay awaits the players here. Fans of Assassin's Creed will definitely be picked up by the latest installment. All newcomers who take a first look at the series as part of the PS5 release will find a huge game world in front of them, which is authentic, lively and, of course, visually stunning. The developers have worked on numerous criticism points and given more weight to important details again. As a result, a game with an exciting setting and numerous hours of fun was created.

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Spider-Man games have always been surprise hits since the early days of PlayStation, which was years before the popular Arkham series of Batman games. In 2018, Insomniac took another shot at Spider-Man gameplay and hit the mark again. With Spider-Man: Miles Morales, a expansion is now available that comes with an upgraded version of the original game if desired.

Since Spider Man is busy in Europe, rookie superhero Miles Morales now has to take care of New York City. The expansion also plays to the strengths of the game and delivers fast chases through the city and challenging fights. In addition, the story of Miles Morales is quite pleasing.

Over 20 Games in the Line-up for PS5 Launch

In addition, there are numerous other blockbusters and hotly anticipated hidden gems to be found. These include, for example, Bugsnax, which is even free for PS Plus subscribers at launch. The Octodad makers Young Horses tried their hand at a cute adventure with Pokémon Snap leanings, which manages to impress despite its short story. Astro's Playroom is also designed in comic style. The game pre-installed on every console is considered a demo for all the features the new console has to offer.

But numerous already available games are also being re-released on PS5. With FIFA 21, Call of Duty: Warzone and Fortnite, for example, all fans of online multiplayer games are to be reached. Those who forego playing Watch Dogs: Legion or Dirt 5 can look forward to graphical improvements above all.
