PlayStation Plus Extra / Essential - Beware, a bug can make games disappear

In the future, you should think twice before adding a game you got through PlayStation Plus / Essential to your collection through PS Plus Extra or Premium.

For a few months now, PlayStation Plus has been divided into three categories: PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium. It has now come to light that these three tiers can interfere with each other, especially with certain game licenses. In the worst case, you could even lose all of your PS Plus Essential games, which are supposed to be bonus titles. We'll tell you how to avoid that.

Beware of duplicate titles

To avoid losing your games, always check if the games you're adding through PS Plus Extra and Premium aren't already in your collection through the monthly PS Plus Essential bonus titles. If that's the case, use those.

If a game offers different content depending on the version, you unfortunately have to decide if you want to play and keep the Extra or Premium version, even if it means risking playing and keeping the less advantageous one. Or you could take the risk and get both versions, but then they might disappear.

You have a choice, how will you decide?
