The Monster Update 2.1 for Plunder Panic is here!
Arrrr! Will Winn Games, the indie developer behind the team-based pirate combat game Plunder Panic, has announced and released a huge update. The update 2.1 brings numerous new features and improvements to the game that are interesting for both single player and multiplayer fans. We have compiled all the information for you here - so let's dive right in!
New islands, level hazards and camouflage items
The update 2.1 of Plunder Panic brings, among other things, three new islands into the game: Dino Isle, Kaiju Cove and The Mighty Kraken. Monstrous challenges and action-packed battles await you here. In addition, level hazards have been added to five of the original islands to bring even more excitement and dynamism to the game. If that's too dangerous for you, you can also deactivate these hazards with the new "Disable Hazards" Modify-arr.
Additionally, there is now a new camouflage item in the game. With this, you can temporarily disguise yourself as a member of the enemy team and cause chaos among your opponents. A perfect addition for those who like to deceive their enemies!
Campaign updates, character selection object box, and more
The campaign of Plunder Panic has also been expanded: five new chapters, improved cutscenes, and a campaign map provide an even more intense single-player adventure. For all multiplayer fans, an "object box" has also been added to your ship, allowing you to try out various items available in the game while waiting for other players.
Ranking games and bounties
For those who want to prove themselves in ranking games, there are also some new features: during the search for a suitable match, helpful and humorous messages from Swabby are now displayed to shorten the waiting time. If you fall out of a ranking game, for example due to an internet interruption, you can now easily rejoin the same game.
And for those who like to collect bounties, there are 52 new bounties that can be earned on the bounty leaderboard. So, get ready to hunt for treasure!
Mouse button support and other improvements
Finally, the game controls have been optimized: keyboard players can now optionally use mouse buttons as input. In addition, numerous other improvements, optimizations, and bug fixes make the gaming experience even better.
