A Deep Dive into the Weapon Balance of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS
Hello gamers! Over the past few weeks, the developers conducted a survey to find out what players like you think about certain aspects of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS. After carefully analyzing the feedback and thoroughly reviewing in-game gameplay metrics, they want to share their findings with you.
This feedback has not only helped shape their plans for future updates, but also provided a better understanding of how they can enhance the player experience in PUBG. So let's take a closer look at what they have discovered.
The Dragunov: A New Addition to the Arsenal
After reviewing nearly 20,000 responses to the survey, the developers have identified a clear need for more diversity in the 7.62mm DMRs. That's why we are excited to introduce the Dragunov as a new option!
While some players expressed concerns about the Dragunov's probabilistic damage system, we have taken this feedback on board and completely removed the system. Instead, we have increased the headshot damage statistics of the Dragunov to make it more competitive against other DMRs.
Adjustments to the AUG
But that's not all! The AUG, another popular weapon in PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, has also undergone some adjustments.
Despite the fact that many players are satisfied with the diverse selection of weapons in PUBG - according to our survey, it was over 75% - our internal tracking showed that the AUG was dominating compared to the Beryl M762. Therefore, we felt compelled to reduce its fire rate from 750 to 720 RPM.
