Rainbow Six Extraction - New release date in January 2022

Since Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction 2019 - then still under the title Rainbow Six Quarantine - was presented, fans have been waiting for a specific release date. Now developer and publisher Ubisoft has finally announced when the next part of the tactical shooter series will be released.

On January 20, 2022 it will be so far. Then Rainbow Six Extraction will be released for Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows and Google Stadia.

Tactical co-op action with aliens

As with the predecessors, Rainbow Six Extraction is also a tactical co-op shooter that sends a team of three soldiers into an occupied area. But this time the elite units not human terrorists, but alien creatures.

However, Rainbow Six Extraction is not degenerating into an alien shooter. The focus will continue to be on infiltration as quietly as possible. Tactical behavior is the top priority.

Why is Rainbow Six Extraction so cheap?

Extraction will probably be less of a full-fledged sequel to the Rainbow Six series and more of a spin-off. This impression was now confirmed by the fact that Ubisoft offers the tactical shooter cheaper than previously thought. In recent times, Ubisoft has used a similar approach with Far Cry: New Dawn, the spin-off to Far Cry 5. That Rainbow Six Extraction is now cheaper could therefore indicate that it will be a smaller package. The game could be somewhat shorter than previous Rainbow Six titles.

Rainbow Six Extraction doesn't do half-measures

But that doesn't mean the co-op title will be weak in terms of content. On the contrary, Ubisoft makes some gifts to the fans to make the offer particularly attractive. For one, you get two so-called "Buddy Tokens" with the purchase of your Rainbow Six Extraction Gamekey. You can use these to invite friends who can then play the game with you for 14 days without having to buy it themselves. This works on all systems because Rainbow Six Extraction offers cross-play across all platforms. If your friends decide to buy the full version afterwards, all progress will be transferred automatically.

If you own Rainbow Six Siege, you will receive a further gift with the purchase of Extraction. Because then all 18 operators that are available in Extraction will also be unlocked in Rainbow Six Siege. If that's not enough, you can get three additional packages with weapon designs and uniforms by purchasing the Rainbow Six Extraction Deluxe Edition. Of course, you can find cheap Rainbow Six Extraction Keys for all versions in our Keyfuchs comparison portal.
