More about artist Notamutemain
Shaun E, known as Notamutemain in the Siege community, found art as a great creative outlet at a young age. Inspired by community artists like Sunstark, he began posting Siege-related fan art in July 2018. Since then, Shaun has rapidly developed his artistic skills and has had many opportunities, including working with Ubisoft on designing a bundle for Mute.
Shaun uses thick outlines and line drawings to create his bold, colorful art. He draws inspiration from comics and expressive art with movement and weight.
As a gay artist, Shaun wanted to represent the LGBTQ+ community in his bundle. He drew inspiration from late 20th century gay culture and used symbols like leather biker caps or the transgender symbol. Shaun also drew inspiration from the punk movement and used some of its characteristic symbols to represent the LGBTQ+ community's resistance to oppression and persecution.
