RAWMEN is an indie and action game that is currently being developed by the "ANIMAL" development studio. The game is currently in early access and will be released on the Steam video game platform at an unknown time in the future.
In RAWMEN you slip into the role of a crazy soup chef that you can design yourself before the game starts. With 2-8 players you can port yourself into a decorated and detailed arena where you can compete against each other. With the help of your always accompanying soup pot, you can attack your friends in different ways and defeat them as often as possible in the 10-minute game time. In the end, the cook who has defeated his competitors the most times through his soup attacks wins.
The third-person game is aimed at a broad target group, as fun is guaranteed for everyone. With the graphics in cartoon style and the abstract and extraordinary game idea, RAWMEN appeals to both children and adult video game lovers. However, the game (typical for the indie genre) is rather suitable for in between or as a party game, which does not restrict the addiction factor.

The fun starts with the individual character creation, and the variability of the soup attacks make the simple game concept a bit more complex. In addition to the standard attack, in which your character hurls soup at your opponents, there are also numerous special attacks that you have to collect first.
But beware: after a few attacks on your opponents, the soup is empty and you have to refill it in an "infinite soup zone". However, this zone is usually fiercely contested, because everyone wants to take advantage of the unlimited soup.
In addition to the attack options, there is of course also a defense with which you can protect yourself from the soup flying around your opponents. Here your character simply puts the soup pot on his head and is immune to all attacks.
At first glance, the game idea and game mechanics seem very simple, but on closer inspection it quickly becomes apparent that much more variability and complexity is hidden in RAWMEN than initially expected. With RAWMEN, developer ANIMAL 2020 will present a debut title that promises a lot of fun with its humor in all respects. This is also confirmed by the awards the game received at the world's largest video game show "E3" in 2019. It was part of the "Best of The Mix" and also one of the "Best Indies of E3 2019". These titles emphasize that you can look forward to an innovative indie game with RAWMEN.
