Ready or Not: Current Status and Upcoming Update - Latest Developments and Plans Overview

Current Situation at VOID Interactive

Last year, the development studio VOID Interactive underwent several changes both internally and with regards to Ready or Not. The focus was on improving all aspects of the game as well as internal processes. A redesign of development procedures, team restructuring, and the introduction of new tools are intended to help work more efficiently in the future and release updates more regularly.

Reorganization and Optimization

Thanks to a new producer, VOID Interactive's development team has taken a new approach to achieving milestones on the roadmap to launch Ready or Not. In particular, improved methods for managing builds, bug fixing, and predictable development cycles are intended to contribute to this goal.

New and Revised Levels

The team is currently working on several new and revised levels for Ready or Not. These include the Coyote map, based on drug tunnels at the border, as well as the complete overhaul of Station and Dealership. Other maps that have performed poorly are being optimized in the background to fix their performance issues. The School map is being developed further under the name Campus and will be released in the future along with other unannounced maps.

PvP is Coming Back – But Later

PvP will definitely return to Ready or Not, but not until after version 1.0. The team wants to create a more cohesive co-op experience before reintegrating PvP into the game. The exact form of the PvP mode is not yet determined, but inspiration may be drawn from other tactical shooters.

AI Improvements

VOID Interactive is aware of the many problems with the AI of team members and suspects and is working to improve them. In the future, the AI will be further divided based on the different maps.

Support for Testing and Giving Feedback

If you are interested in supporting VOID Interactive in testing new content during the playtesting phases and providing feedback on the game, you can do so on the Ready or Not Steam shop page or directly on the VOID Interactive website. If you are a content creator looking for new games on YouTube or Twitch, Ready or Not has teamed up with Lurkit to improve gameplay. Follow the game on Lurkit and also on Steam to stay up to date.

We hope this overview of the current state of Ready or Not is helpful and we are excited to see how the game will develop in the future. Stay tuned for further updates and news about the tactical shooter game!
