Not only is this new accessory environmentally friendly, but it also boasts a cool two-tone green design. But the best part? The controller is compatible with both console and PC! The eco-friendly background of the Remix Special Edition Controller
With this controller, Microsoft places great emphasis on sustainability. The Remix Special Edition is made from reclaimed plastics, with one-third of the material coming from recycled and recovered sources. If you're wondering what that means exactly, parts of old Xbox One controllers were used in the production of this controller. Additionally, recycled resins from recovered materials such as car headlight covers, plastic water jugs, and CDs are also used.
A step in the right direction, but not enough
The environmentally friendly approach of the Remix Special Edition Controller is certainly commendable, but as gamers we should be aware that there is much more to be done to reduce plastic consumption. Only 9% of plastic waste has been recycled so far, and our beloved oceans are full of plastic waste. It is up to us not only to rely on environmentally friendly products like this controller, but also to rethink our consumption overall and avoid waste.

You're probably wondering if the Earth Day Remix Special Edition Controller comes with a rechargeable battery pack, right? The answer is: Yes! Alternatively, you can also use two rechargeable AA batteries or connect the controller directly to the console. This reduces your battery consumption and does something good for the environment.
