Remedy - Ambitious future plan announced

Developer Remedy has released its 2022 financial results and taken a look at its upcoming projects. A highlight is the full production of Alan Wake 2, while development of Control 2 is just entering the proof-of-concept phase.

Additionally, Remedy is looking to enter the multiplayer services market and is working on a Control spin-off and a free-to-play title called Vanguard.

Alan Wake 2 in Full Production

Development of Alan Wake 2 is in full production and the game is playable from start to finish. Remedy is now focusing on refining and optimizing the player experience.

Control 2 Entering Proof-of-Concept Phase

Work on Control 2 has reached the proof-of-concept phase. At the same time, Remedy is expanding into the multiplayer services market and is developing a Control spin-off and a free-to-play title codenamed Vanguard, both also in the proof-of-concept phase.

Remedy Working on Remaster of Max Payne 1 & 2

In collaboration with Rockstar, Remedy is also working on a remaster of Max Payne 1 & 2, though this is still in the concept phase.

Annual Releases Planned Until 2027

Remedy is aiming to release a new game every year, with the last project scheduled for 2027. Although revenue for 2022 is down 2.5% compared to the previous year, production is mostly self-funded, raising the potential of future licensing fees.

Investment in Northlight Engine

Remedy has also invested in the Northlight Engine to support the high quality standards of future games. Additionally, the company has hired almost twice as many new employees as the previous year.

Remedy Pursuing Ambitious Plan

Remedy has an ambitious future plan and is working on a Remedy Connected Universe. The future looks promising and we look forward to upcoming projects.
