Riot Games Hack Attack - What was stolen?

We reported to you about the hacker attack on Riot Games only the day before yesterday. Now the investigation has been able to determine what the hackers have taken.

No personal data of players affected

Riot Games gives update on hacker attack

But first of all. The company continues to confirm that no personal data of players was stolen in the attack. They cannot be sure yet. The investigation is still ongoing. There will also probably be delays in future patches of several games. The latest update has now revealed that the hackers have stolen the source code for League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics and an older anti-cheat platform. The stolen code also contained several experimental functions and content in the prototype stage that had not yet made it into the release and had no guarantee of ever being implemented. This increases the risk that cheats will appear on the net. The hackers have now sent a ransom email to Riot Games, but they are refusing to pay.

Delays in patches

Riot Games is working with internal security consultants and law enforcement agencies to process the attack

Riot Games is working with internal security consultants and law enforcement agencies to process and pursue the hacker attack. Meanwhile, it seems that patch 13.2 of League of Legends will be the first victim of the delay. It is unlikely that it will go online as planned tomorrow.
