Rust: "CCTV-Update" - Surveillance systems revolutionize security strategies

The survival game "Rust" from the company "Facepunch Studios" is one of the best known games in its genre. For a total of 5 years it was in Early Access, before it was released as a full version for PC in 2018. Since then, the development studio has been regularly releasing updates with new content to the market, as well as the latest "CCTV update", which has been available to users since March 3, 2020.

But what is Rust about?
The primary goal of the multiplayer game is to work towards the best equipment such as weapons and protective clothing, as well as a safe shelter. You start with only a torch and a stone on an island and fight for or against online players for naked survival. By looting old, abandoned buildings and through your own craftsmanship, you can win valuable weapons that help you.
Rust is a real alternative to "ARK: Survival Evolved" or "DayZ" for survival and strategy lovers, as it is particularly realistic compared to the competition.

But now to the new "Rust CCTV Update": What new features can Rust users look forward to?

"CCTV" is an English abbreviation for "Closed Circuit TeleVision", which translates to "secure video surveillance system". This describes the update very well, because the previously hardly useful surveillance cameras can now be used as a security system for your base. This camera is an extremely rare item that can only be found at crash sites of military aircraft, loot chests and airdrops. Therefore, it is not possible to manufacture a surveillance camera yourself.

However, a surveillance camera alone is not enough for a security system for your base. In addition, a computer station must be added, which is connected to the camera. For this, the video camera must be connected to a corresponding power outlet and configured with a hammer. You then have to assign a 32-digit identification number, which you then enter at the computer station to connect to the surveillance camera. Thanks to your identification, you can observe your base from any location. In addition, you can press the "E" key to adjust the direction of the video camera.

Thanks to this new technology, you can ensure the security and surveillance of your headquarters. In particular, with friends, the new security system makes sense, as one can observe the environment of the base and sound the alarm in the event of sighting of opponents. The others can then eliminate the opponents from a safe position in the base, making it much more difficult to conquer the shelter.

The new "CCTV update" for Rust thus brings many new tactics and strategies, especially for the defense of your base, making the survival game richer in possibilities and challenges.

In addition to Rust, the sandbox classic "Garry's Mod" has been developed by Facepunch Studios, which has been known since 2004, especially through the "Trouble in Terrorist Town" (TTT) game mode. Together with Rust, it is probably the most famous video game of the development studio, which is also very recommended to play.
