The 9th Season of Sea of Thieves
Get ready for some thrilling action in the 9th season of Sea of Thieves! The upcoming weeks will bring new content such as the Captain's Week event, numerous changes for captains, and a brand new time-limited adventure. Additionally, you can expect a wide selection of new items in the Pirate Emporium and many improvements in the game.
Pirate Emporium and Plunder Pass
New in the Pirate Emporium are cool ship banners, sweet pets for those with a sweet tooth, brawler emotes for roughnecks, as well as large bundles and the Beachcomber's Bounty ship equipment with matching weapons. If you haven't already, you can secure the Plunder Pass of the 9th season to unlock all the rewards of the season.
Gameplay Improvements
The developers have made some improvements to the gameplay, such as reducing the recoil of cannonballs and making adjustments to the captain's voyages. Additionally, the cost of saving cosmetics on a captain-controlled ship has been removed – it's now free to do so.
New Hairstyles and Captain's Week Event
Looking for a new look? New hairstyles are now available in the outpost shops! From June 15th to 22nd, the Captain's Week Event is also taking place, where players can get discounts on ship purchases, earn increased rewards while sailing on a captain-controlled ship, and obtain new weapons.
Bug Fixes and Optimizations
Naturally, bug fixes were also worked on: issues with the frequency of encountering Megalodons, the number of recommended letters and ritual skull missions from Larinna have been resolved. Other bug fixes relate to combat, captain's voyages, the Pirate Emporium, as well as visual and audio display issues and text or localization errors.
