Say goodbye to rental boats - your ship is now yours, bought with hard-earned gold and gaining its own history and reputation as you sail it. There's a certain pride in sailing on something that's been by your side during sea battles and kraken attacks.

As a captain, you can also ensure that your ship looks as good as new. Visit a shipwright at an outpost and they'll restore your ship to top condition!
A ship with a name...
As a captain, you get to name your ship. The Pirate Lord himself will officially recognize the name you choose. Other pirates who see your ship will be informed of the name of your ship and the captain at the helm.
Design your own ship
As a captain, you have much greater control over what your ship looks like. You can customize your cabin to your liking and decorate your ship with trinkets.
Welcome the Sovereigns
As a captain, you enjoy a certain level of prestige and you will find that people who previously ignored you are now very interested in what you have to say and sell. The Sovereigns have set up their tents at every outpost and they are so interested in making friends with pirate captains that they will accept your treasures on behalf of the trading companies.
Rowing with advantages
As a captain, you will also be offered other bonus services. Instead of searching for barrels of supplies on outposts and bringing everything back to your ship, a visit to the shipwright (and some gold) can ensure that your barrels are filled with cannonballs, meat, fruit, wood, bait, and even throwable items like firebombs and blunderbombs.
The shipwrights also sell special captain's voyages for the bookshelf on your ship - these include various trading companies and give you more control over what your voyage entails and how long it lasts.
