Attention, Pirate Captains! Changes Ahead!
In the seventh season of Sea of Thieves, the ability to become a captain was introduced. The developers have taken player feedback into account and made some interesting permanent adjustments to the captaincy function and its rewards. The following changes will be released in June along with a Captain's Week event. Get ready for exciting new developments in your captaincy!
Changes in the Captaincy Area
The developers have made a series of adjustments to optimize the experience as a pirate captain. Here's a summary of the most important new features:
- Milestone balancing adjustments: A large number of pirate and ship milestones are being rebalanced to make class achievement easier. Achieving legendary status in a milestone alignment will also be made easier.
- Trinket unlock adjustments: The number of classes required to purchase the four levels of trinkets will be significantly reduced.
- Ship cosmetic saving: Saving cosmetic items for your ship is now free!
- Price changes for trinkets and decorations: The gold cost for ship decorations and trinkets will be significantly reduced.
- Captain cosmetic adjustments: The gold cost for captain cosmetic items will be significantly reduced.
- Captain's Week: All of the above adjustments are permanent additions and will be introduced in June with a special Captain's Week event. During this event, you can earn cosmetic rewards and enjoy a gold multiplier when playing on captain ships.
- Gilded Sovereign Captain's Table: As a recognition for high-ranking captains, the developers are awarding an exclusive cosmetic, the Gilded Sovereign Captain's Table, to every player who achieves certain pirate milestones before the start of Captain's Week in June.
