Sea of Thieves - Season 8 coming soon

There is currently no official release date for the 8 Seasons of Sea of Thieves. However, the original Sea of Thieves Roadmap 2022 shows that it should start in September. Since Season 7 was released late, Season 8 will also be released later.

The previous seasons lasted between 9 and 14 weeks, so we estimate that Season 8 will start between October 3 and November 1, 2022. This also means that Season 9 may not start until 2023. This should be released in December 2022 according to the Roadmap.

Unfortunately, there is not much information from the developer Rare. However, the Roadmap shows that role-playing should be extended in Season 8. There should also be new types of quests. As in the previous seasons, there will be three new adventures and the ongoing mysteries will also be expanded. New Emporium content is also a regular part of the seasons. Last but not least, a new loot pass and a community day are coming.

So much for the known new features in Sea of Thieves Season 8. But if you now include the statements of Joe Neate from Gamescom 2022, it could get really interesting again.

Joe Neate "I love knowing what new decision point is coming and what the impact of that will be. It's going to be a really big moment for the community and the decision will have a big impact - emotionally."

We therefore think that there will soon be a new big decision for all pirates. We would even go so far as to say that it will be bigger and more important than that of Lost Sands.
