The Ninth Season and the Style of Thieves Competition

Arrr, pirate friends! The ninth season of Sea of Thieves is in full swing, and so is the Style of Thieves competition. Now is the perfect opportunity to showcase your most creative outfits and win great prizes. Get your screenshots ready and prepare to snag a pair of exclusive Fashionista's Finery gloves!

Competition Themes and Entry Requirements

You have only 24 hours to participate on social media for each of the four competition themes. The exact rules for entry can be found below in the article.

The Four Themes of the Competition

  1. RPG Classes: Get inspired by RPG archetypes and present your pirate as a mage, paladin, druid, warrior, or any other class of your choice! (Entry date: May 15th)
  2. Romantic: Show us the outfit you would use to seduce a chosen villain or the one your pirate would wear at a wedding. (Entry date: May 16th)
  3. Spring Style: Welcome the season with flowery patterns, sunny colors, and clothing for warmer weather. (Entry date: May 17th)
  4. The Elements: Put together an outfit that reflects one of the elements: water, earth, fire, or air. Specify which element you chose in your caption! (Entry date: May 18th)

How to Enter the Style of Thieves Competition

You can participate on various social channels:

  • On Twitter: Mention @SeaOfThieves and #StyleOfThieves in your post.
  • On Instagram: Use the hashtag #StyleOfThieves.
  • On Facebook: Add your post as a reply to the theme of the day.
  • On the official Discord server: Post your entry with #StyleOfThieves in the #pirate-fashion channel.

Don't forget to include the name of the theme you're entering in your post.

Tips for the Perfect Picture

  • Don't use complete costumes or sets.
  • All shots should be solo snapshots, no crews.
  • Choose a simple background for your outfit.
  • Pay attention to good lighting and turn off your HUD display.
  • Don't edit or filter your screenshots.
  • Stick to a 16:9 or 1:1 aspect ratio.
  • Emotes are allowed, but additional functions through emotes won't be considered in the judging.
