Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew - Expansions and Discount Promotion

New adventure with Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew

Are you still sleeping on this excellent tactical RPG? With a discount and two new expansions, now is the perfect time to set sail with Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew.

Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew, one of the best strategy games of 2023, is releasing its final two DLCs along with a new free update. If you haven't played this pirate adventure yet, you can grab it at a discounted price on Steam with a flash sale.

DLCs Yuki's Wish and Zagan's Ritual

The DLCs are Yuki's Wish and Zagan's Ritual, and both are now available. The two DLC releases bring a new character to your spooky crew, who is also playable in the main game.

Yuki's Wish

Yuki's Wish reunites you with Yuki and Kuma from Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, another equally excellent strategy game by Mimimi Games. With them, you set sail to Dragon's Dream, a Japanese island where, according to legend, a dragon can grant wishes.

Zagan's Ritual

The other expansion, Zagan's Ritual, amps up the creepiness and sends you to an eerie island with a gothic castle. Your task is to assist Zagan the Renegade in performing a dark ritual.

Free Update: 'Treasure Hunt'

Mimimi Games is also releasing a free update for Shadow Gambit called 'Treasure Hunt'. This endgame content allows you to freely explore the game's world, discover treasures, and get into even more trouble with your crew.

Farewell from Mimimi Games

However, this news unfortunately ends on a bittersweet note for fans of the game. Mimimi Games, which also developed the excellent Western game Desperados 3, is closing its doors. Shadow Gambit is their final game.

Studio founders Dominik Abé and Johannes Roth explain that it has become both personally and financially exhausting. They describe how they love developing games, but "devoting the last decade and a half of our lives to working on increasingly ambitious games has taken a toll on us and our families."
