Regarding the status of their game portfolio, the team explains that "our corporate news did not contain sales forecasts for specific titles. The figures related to Silent Hill 2 refer to the potential success of the type of games we will focus on in the future." It is also important to note that the developer emphasizes: "It is also not true that we have announced that Silent Hill 2 is ready for release."
Bloober Team focuses on quality
Bloober Team currently states: "All of our efforts are focused on achieving the highest quality for the finished product - the quality that fans of Silent Hill 2 deserve. "Maybe they just updated it to 'Coming Soon' to replace TBA as the public display, but they could have also entered a release date, as 'Coming Soon' is the default fallback message for release dates," they speculate in another tweet. The Silent Hill 2 remake was unveiled just over five months ago, but development reportedly began in 2021 when Bloober Team signed an agreement with publisher Konami to collaborate.
