Fishing in Skyrim: A New Dimension
Imagine yourself in the vast world of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, exploring icy mountains and lush green forests. Suddenly, you come across a tranquil lake and think to yourself, "Why not take a little fishing break?" Thanks to the dedicated modder JaySerpa, that is now possible - and better than ever.
JaySerpa has taken it upon themselves to revamp Bethesda's fishing mechanics, ensuring that they match the rest of the game in terms of quality. In this new mod, fishing and everything related to it is a bit more serene and relaxing than ever before.
Fishing with Bait and Atmosphere
The "Simple Fishing Overhaul" by JaySerpa brings a series of small changes that make fishing in Skyrim more interesting and enjoyable. Now you can fish in first or third person mode and move the camera in first person mode while fishing. Additionally, there is a new bait requirement for the mini-game and over 200 lines of quest and reactive dialogue, pieced together from Bethesda's base game.
Bait Makes the Difference
In JaySerpa's mod, you need bait to be able to fish. It is automatically consumed when you start fishing and adds more depth to the activity. As the modder himself says, "I hope the bait adds a bit of balance to fishing by adding a small 'cost' to this activity."
No New Fishing Quests – But Plenty of Atmosphere
Although this mod doesn't add new fishing quests, JaySerpa has combined existing in-game lines and given them audio. The result is over 200 lines of new dialogue that make your fishing experience even more authentic.
