Life in The Sims 4 City is about to get more exciting
Hey, Simmer! Are you a fan of The Sims 4? Then you're going to love the upcoming expansion pack "For Rent". EA has released a new gameplay trailer and it looks like everything we've been wishing for in city life in The Sims 4.
I have to admit, The Sims 4 is my most played game of all time. I've been playing the iconic simulation series from EA since I could lay my little toddler hands on The Sims. My collection includes every expansion pack for every game, including the surreal celebrity crossovers like Katy Perry in The Sims 3. I've been expanding my collection with every update to The Sims 4, and the upcoming For Rent expansion pack is no exception. The gameplay trailer for this DLC has me more excited than any previous pack, and for good reason.
What does the new "For Rent" expansion bring?
For Rent promises a completely new way to experience The Sims 4, similar to old expansions like Apartment Life from The Sims 2 or Generations from The Sims 3. The latest gameplay trailer for For Rent showcases different Sim households living together on a shared lot, experiencing communal living - for better or for worse - just like many of us grew up.
Experience communal living in The Sims 4
From parties to potlucks, For Rent allows your Sims to easily interact with their neighbors and doesn't restrict your freedom to play, like City Living does. You can open up your spaces as you please and design your lot however you see fit. You can also choose to play as a landlord and decide whether to provide free accommodations for all tenants or ruthlessly evict Sims without regard for consequences (and believe me, there are consequences).
Your options in the "For Rent" expansion
If you're not a fan of playing as a property owner, you can build a household of tenants and focus on them. Protest against your landlords for fair rents, get to know your community of co-tenants, and take care of your space. You can also create cozy communal areas for all residents, like gyms or swimming pools.
For Rent allows you to accommodate an impressive 48 individuals on just one lot, so these types of shared spaces are a great way to keep your property happy and healthy. I'm looking forward to creating some communal pet areas, book nooks, and more.
