And once again we have to be put off. Skull and Bones is to be postponed once again. Ubisoft is now trying to focus on the essentials.
The games that were released around Christmas didn't go down well with the fans. The consequence of this is that Ubisoft is consequentially concentrating all its efforts on established brands. This also makes it clear that in addition to the four games that were announced in July 2022, three more previously unannounced projects will be cancelled.
CEO of Ubisoft, Yves Guillemot, deeply regrets this step and is deeply disappointed in the current performance. But he also sees the problem in the ongoing recession that is preventing customers from buying games. So Ubisoft has revised its net booking target for the third quarter of 2022/23 and now expects to generate only about 779 million US dollars instead of about 831 million US dollars.
Even Skull and Bones is affected by this misery. Originally it was supposed to come out on March 9, but now it will be postponed until 2024. From April 1, 2023, however, there will be a beta version. Whether this turns out to be true remains to be seen.
