A Glimpse into the Future of Skyrim
Imagine being able to not only relive your familiar adventures in the world of Skyrim, one of your favorite games, but also embark on a completely new journey. That's exactly what the impressive Beyond Skyrim mod project allows. It's a massive undertaking that has been steadily progressing since 2012 and already offers more than some official games.
The heart of the project is the redesign of Cyrodiil, the region where Oblivion takes place. All nine counties and cities are faithfully recreated and fully explorable. The developers are so meticulous in their approach that they even include more lines of dialogue than Bethesda's original release of Skyrim.
The Impressive Details of Beyond Skyrim
The Beyond Skyrim mod project is not only a love letter to the Skyrim universe, but it also expands it with new facets. Completely new settlements and dungeons are added, leading the player to previously unknown areas. Not to mention the numerous new quests that will provide hours of gameplay fun.
The Scope of the Project
So far, Beyond Skyrim Cyrodiil includes over 116 quests and 44 settlements. Even a Daedra quest has already been implemented. And although the project is not yet completed, the basic texts for all cities have already been finished.
Voice Acting on a New Level
One particularly impressive detail is the voice acting in the mod project. Currently, artificial voices are still being used, but that will change once the majority of Cyrodiil is completed. Because then, a complete voice acting with real voices will be implemented - an endeavor that already encompasses more lines than Bethesda's original game.
We still have to be patient until we can get our hands on the complete Beyond Skyrim Cyrodiil. But the results so far promise great things and make us eager for more.
