Politics and Double Dealing
What sets Solium Infernum apart from other strategy games like Civilization 7 or Total War Pharaoh is its focus on political cunning and bureaucratic double dealing. Every time you meet with the Conclave of Hell and debate with your archenemies, you have the opportunity to insult them, ally with them, or stab them in the back.
An interesting ability called "Power Behind the Throne" even allows you to execute a clever coup: swear allegiance to another archenemy and overthrow them at the decisive moment to become the ultimate winner. Turning enemies into friends, fulfilling their demands, and then killing them at the last moment - it's truly a brilliant game of psychological deception.
Characters with Personality
The characters in Solium Infernum are more than mere game pieces. They all have their own personalities and approaches. For example, there's Andromalius, the beautiful and vain fallen angel who uses his charm and appearance to lull opponents into a false sense of security.
But Astaroth should not be underestimated either: this muscular fellow with giant horns prefers raw power over clever manipulation. Perfect for players who enjoy building a strong army and conquering the infernal throne through force.

Solium Infernum is currently in the live playtesting phase. However, during the upcoming Steam Next Fest from October 9th to 16th, there will be a free demo available.
