"Sons of the Forest": The long-awaited full version
Hey gamers, have you heard the news? Endnight Games has announced that the full version of "Sons of the Forest" is just around the corner. The indie developer released the sequel to "The Forest" in February in Early Access and has been regularly expanding it with new content ever since. What awaits us in the 1.0 version is bound to be a blast, as it not only includes new story content but also features an iconic actor lending his voice to the game.
But who could it be? Drumroll, please – it's none other than Shawn Ashmore, whom we all know as Bobby Drake from the X-Men movies or as Tim Breaker from Alan Wake 2. Now he will encounter us in "Sons of the Forest" and bring the character Timmy to life.
The Return of Timmy
In "Sons of the Forest", we have already experienced some short scenes with Timmy, the lost boy from "The Forest". However, many questions still remain unanswered. The sequel picks up from the true ending of the first game, where Timmy survives and suppresses his mutations. In "Sons of the Forest", he explores a new island - and we are eager to learn his story.
From Early Access to Full Version
The survival game's story continues in the sequel, although the depth of the story was limited in the Early Access version. However, the use of Ashmore's voice suggests that we will get to see a lot of endgame lore and other exciting content in the 1.0 version.
Preview of Future Updates
And it won't stop at the full version! Endnight is already excited about the content of the game "beyond" the full release. What does that mean? We can look forward to more updates - and who knows, maybe even new familiar voices?
