Splinter Cell: Blacklist - Multiplayer servers surprisingly revived!

After the planned end of online services for Splinter Cell: Blacklist in October 2022, it seemed as if the game's multiplayer element could never be played again. However, surprisingly, the multiplayer servers have been back online in the last few weeks and players can play against each other again. But why did this happen and how long will it last?

Revived Multiplayer Servers

In October 2022, the multiplayer element of "Splinter Cell: Blacklist" was deactivated, leaving many players to believe they would never be able to play the game online again. Surprisingly, however, the multiplayer servers have come back to life in recent weeks and players can now play against each other online again.

Unclear how long it will last

It is unclear, however, how long the online capacities for the game will be maintained. The Xbox and PC servers are back online, but the Wii U system was shut down a long time ago. Players are confused as to why or how this has happened and it remains to be seen if Ubisoft will provide an explanation.

Past Uncertainty with Outdated Online Services

Ubisoft has been uncertain in the past with some outdated online services and an early termination of the online capacities was planned for mid-2022. However, Ubisoft postponed the deactivation to later in the year, raising questions now as to what has happened that the multiplayer servers are back online.
