Cloud Imperium Games, the developer of Star Citizen, has released a new video showcasing upcoming content for the ever-expanding space game. In the first part of the video, we get a glimpse of fifteen new abandoned outposts that are set to make their way into the game with the Alpha 3.20 update, which is planned for release in the summer. These outposts promise to add a new layer of exploration and adventure to the game.
In addition to the outposts, the video also introduces a new ship brand called "Mirai". The sleek and elegant design of the Mirai ships is sure to appeal to players who value both form and function. While details about the ships' capabilities are still scarce, we can expect to learn more about them as the release of Alpha 3.20 draws closer.
In the second part of the video, the focus is on Mirai, a new sub-brand of MISC that specializes in performance optimization. There isn't much information available yet, but the official unveiling of the first Mirai ship is scheduled for the Invictus Launch Week 2953 on May 19th. To celebrate the occasion, Star Citizen will be available for free to all players.

Star Citizen crowdfunding continues to be successful
The crowdfunding campaign for Star Citizen continues to be impressive and recently surpassed the $569 million mark. The number of registered users has also steadily increased and is currently over 4.5 million - although it should be noted that not all of them are paying customers, as many only sign up for the free testing phases.
According to the latest information shared by Creative Director Chris Roberts in October 2022, about 1.7 million players are actually paying customers. However, this number is a few months old and is likely higher by now.
Alpha 3.19 update in testing
