Starfield: A Universe Full of Possibilities
Starfield, the latest RPG from Bethesda, is a cosmos of adventure and discovery. From vast planets to explore to countless quests and missions, the game is more than a worthy competitor to Skyrim, Fallout, and the rest of the Elder Scrolls series. And now, there's another surprise on the horizon.
An extensive mod is planning nothing less than a complete transformation of Starfield into a Star Wars game. This conversion not only changes the game's look but also its mechanics - and the result could feel like a completely standalone Star Wars game.
The Force is strong in this mod
The Galactic Civil War Conversion Mod by 'kboykboy' plans to transform every member of the United Colonies Police into Stormtroopers. Later, all armors of the Freestar Collective and the UC will also be converted into iconic Star Wars outfits. Even the weapons will not be spared: they will transform into blasters, lightsabers, and much more.
Starfield becomes a galaxy far, far away
Another mod, the 'Galactic Empire Era Name Replacer' by 'Mantalice', tackles the NPC tags: 'United Colonies' becomes 'Stormtroopers', 'Freestar Collective' becomes the 'Rebel Alliance', and 'Robots' become 'Droids'. And even the flags and banners in the game will not remain unchanged: the 'Imperial Flags' mod replaces all symbols of the United Colonies with the Empire's logo.
Modding contributes to the infinity of Starfield
Despite the abundance of content that Starfield already offers, ambitious modders are already working on expanding the game even further. And although many players probably haven't even completed all the missions of the base game yet, these mods greatly expand the scope of Starfield.
There is still a long way to go until the completion of these ambitious projects, but they once again demonstrate how much the modding community can enrich the gaming experience. And who knows, maybe you will soon be able to actually attack the Death Star in Starfield or fly through the galaxy with your own Millennium Falcon. May the Force be with the modders!
