Rumors about the release date of Starfield, the upcoming action-role playing game from Bethesda, have gained momentum again. Jez Corden, Managing Editor of Windows Central, said in the latest episode of The XboxTwo that he believes Starfield will be released in June 2023.
Prediction or Secure Information?
Corden emphasized that it was only a prediction and that he was betting on a delay beyond June 2023. However, it is still unknown whether this is secure information or just a prediction.
Playability and Missing Release Date
It has already been reported that Starfield is playable from start to finish and that no release date has been given by the developers yet. An earlier listing of Starfield on CDKeys suggested that the game would be released on March 23, 2023, which was in line with a statement from Microsoft. However, Corden believes that this date is a placeholder, as the chances that Microsoft has given a fixed release date to retailers like CDKeys are very slim.
Undetermined Release Date
According to Corden's sources, the actual release date of Starfield is still undetermined. Starfield is still playable in its entirety and covers several star systems, making it a very large game. Therefore, the polishing work is correspondingly enormous, which is probably the reason why no concrete release date has been announced by Microsoft and Bethesda yet.
