Now, Starship Troopers: Terran Command has released its second DLC, taking the action into rarely explored territory – the city.
The Battle for Mahanagar
In Starship Troopers: Terran Command – Urban Onslaught, the massive metropolis of Mahanagar is under attack by the nefarious bugs. Friendly yet strict police units have tried to stop the insect onslaught, but to no avail. Now, it's time for the Mobile Infantry to prove their worth. Since its release in 2022, the RTS game has been steadily gaining popularity and now gets even bigger and better with some new twists.
New Missions and Challenges
This new expansion pack includes nine missions where you must push back the bugs in a dense urban environment. You'll be supported by the police, who may have limited combat capabilities but can help in crucial moments by drawing attention, repelling attacks, and calling for reinforcements. Speaking of reinforcements, you'll have access to four new units, including a cannon ship that provides the air support you need.
New Gameplay Mechanics and Units
It seems like the developer, The Aristocrats, is incorporating some tower defense gameplay by introducing some towers that can be activated to provide much-needed firepower. However, there's also bad news as the bugs have evolved and now come as Bursters, Hornets, and Ravagers – all threats that can quickly end your campaign if you're not adequately prepared.
