Things have been quiet lately around State of Decay 3. But in a recent Xbox Major Nelson podcast, Matt Booty, head of Xbox Game Studios, had some interesting things to say about the survival horror game.
State of Decay 3 in Pre-Production
First and foremost: State of Decay 3 is in pre-production, and in addition to Undead Labs, The Coaltion is also working on the game. The Coalition is the studio behind Gears of War. So it's no surprise that the game is being developed in Unreal Engine 5 and that some things from Gears of War are being reused.
Booty also revealed that he spent a lot of time in Undead Labs' office last week. The current state of affairs was presented there. In his opinion, many interesting and good elements of the game are already in implementation.
At the beginning of 2022, there were reports of problems with the development of State of Decay 3. Among other things, there were accusations of sexism. inXile Entertainments new game
In addition to information about State of Decay 3, Booty also revealed that inXile Enterntainment is also developing an exciting new game. Phil Spencer, head of Microsoft Gaming, is said to have already played it. According to rumors, it is supposed to be a Steampunk-RPG.
