Above all, the limited budget of the small studio put a stop to the great ambitions. Thanks to Microsoft's takeover of Undead Labs in 2018, this problem finally belongs to the past. With State of Decay 3, the creative minds of Undead Labs are finally able to make their vision of a world populated by players and overrun by zombies a reality thanks to the new financial resources.
