Valve has released a new Steam Client stable update, which improves the Big Picture Mode and fixes some bugs that occurred in the previous update.
Improvements in Big Picture Mode
The update adds an F11 hotkey to switch between windowed and fullscreen mode, and an Alt+Enter hotkey to exit Big Picture Mode. The library in Big Picture Mode has been expanded with a feature to quickly jump by letter, and there is now also an option to set the starting position of the keypad on the desktop and in the Steam Overlay.
In addition, support for UI sounds and a virtual keypad in the overlay has been added. The notification about participation in the Steam Deck Verified Program has been removed from the regular Big Picture Mode.
Bug Fixes
Bug fixes have been made for Control-1/Control-2 hotkeys on Linux and other bugs. It has also returned to the old game info dialog, which is accessible via the friends list.
The startup time has been shortened for users with large game libraries and bugs opening the Steam Store have been fixed. The Steam Library has been improved by fixing bugs.
Errors in Steam inputs for the Steam Link App Touchscreen Controller, a missing Team Fortress 2 Steam Controller start sound, and problems with the tilt calibration of the Nintendo Switch have also been fixed.
