As part of a limited beta, Valve, the developer of Steam, has released a new version of its Steam Mobile app. After a test phase, the app should be available to all users.
According to a tweet from Valve, the app was built on a new framework and the design was modernized. The beta is intended to find final bugs and to bring in more user wishes.
Beta Participation Steam Mobile App
To participate in the beta, you must join the Steam Mobile App Group on Steam.
- For Android users, you can find it on the Steam App PlayStore page.
- For iOS users, go to the Testflight Applestore to participate in the beta.
However, users who use more than one Steam account via their Steam Mobile app should refrain from participating. According to some users, it should no longer be possible to log out of the beta app so easily.
So far, over 600 comments have been made by users for the new app. A large part is enthusiastic about the new app. But in the feedback already many bugs and problems were mentioned. If you use your Steam Mobile app very actively at the moment, it might be better to wait a little.
