Stellaris 3.8 "Gemini" Coop Open Beta launched - Exciting new features and improvements at a glance

Stellaris 3.8 "Gemini" Coop Open Beta is now available

Hello everyone! The Stellaris 3.8 "Gemini" Coop Open Beta is now available! You can provide feedback and report out-of-sync errors until the end of April. Please note that this beta patch is optional and you will need to manually sign up for it.

To access it, simply go to your Steam library, right-click on Stellaris -> Properties -> "Betas" tab -> select the "stellaris_test - 3.8 Coop Open Beta" branch. Don't forget to disable your mods as they may not work.

Upcoming Improvements in Stellaris 3.8

Today, we take a look at some of the planned improvements that are not included in the Coop Open Beta but are intended for the full 3.8 version. Here are seven exciting new features you can expect:

1. Army Builder and Rally Troops

The Army Builder is a handy tool for easier creation and collection of attack armies for upcoming wars. You can find this tab on every starbase in a sector. Armies recruited through this tool will gather at the starbase. With Rally Troops, you can reinforce existing fleets of attack armies, and new troops will automatically join that fleet.

2. Changes to Bombardment and Ground Combat

Bombardment of planets will be significantly more devastating in Stellaris 3.8: more pops will die, and buildings and districts will be destroyed in the process. Bombardment damage now also scales with the number of bombarding ships.

3. Science Ship Automation

With a click of the Science Ship Automation, you can now activate or deactivate certain modules according to your preferences.

4. New Capital World Designations

In version 3.8, there are four new capital world designations for non-hive minds: Forge Capital, Factory Capital, Trade Capital, and Capital Extraction World. These designations are not part of the automatic colony designation system, and your capital world will never change its designation on its own.

5. Improvements in Fleet Manager

The Fleet Manager has been revamped, and some annoying bugs have been fixed. The fleet list is now much larger than before. There is also a new button to copy a fleet template.

6. Sector Editor

With the Sector Editor, you can freely move systems between adjacent sectors as long as they are within range of the sector capitals. The Sector Editor can be accessed either through the planet view or the "Planets and Sectors" view.

This is just a selection of the many improvements that will come with Stellaris 3.8. We look forward to learning more details and trying out the update ourselves! If you don't already own Stellaris, you can purchase it anytime at Keyfuchs as a Steam Key.
